One of my favorite activities is music. The neat thing about music is that it creates style. It also causes people to talk, act, and dress the way they do.
More specifically I enjoy playing the piano and listening to music. When ever I begin to learn a new song on the piano it challenges me and I feel like I've made an accomplishment once I've learned it. One of the reasons I enjoy listening to music is because it can change the way I'm feeling and my attitude.

I agree. Music does change the way people think. It inspires them to create their own personal and individual styles
Yeah, music is a really powerful thing. Do you mostly listen to classical, then?
Chelsey, does music really cause people to change their styles? I think this goes back to the question, "what causes change?" Anyway, like I've said on other's blogs, is it the music that you like so much or the feeling of accomplishment when you have mastered something new? where else can you get these same feelings?
i did my post about music too.
It is such a powerful and cool thing.
music is great because it can set a mood (movies and romance ;)
and it also helps how people feel.
like when your really frustrated and your favorite song just helps you relax and feel better.
good topic to write about.
actually tor for the most part classical music drives me insane because the rhythm is usually unpredictible.
oh and mr. voight i do believe i said creates style not causes people to change their style. i purposely said it creates not changes style so i could avoid this whole discussion on what causes change. to answer your other questions i usually don't like most of the music i play because it is assigned to me out of a book and i don't get to pick it but i feel good once i can play it well. but i do like listening to other music like on the radio and my iPod. I can get the feeling of accomplishment elsewhere but it's just not the same but i can't really get the same feeling i get as when i am listening to good music. i hope most of what i wrote made at least some sense.
Most of things I said about playing guitar are what you put in about music.
Yeah I just commented on Jenny's blog about music and said how I used to play a bunch of different instruments and take classes but i got sick of the teachers telling me to play these dumb songs. So now if i feel like playing or learning a new song i'll just look it up myself and use the knowledge i previously gained to play the song.
Music is amazing! Does it really cause people to dress a certain way though, for the most part? Music can definitely change a persons mood and attitude. I totally agree with that. Not only do you accomplish something when you learn to play a piece of music, but you can hear it yourself how good it sounds and play it for other people.
Music isn't my bag, but I can see why so many people like it- its soothing and you can listen to it just to tune out for a while or while you're studying.
