I haven't really been keeping up with the election lately. Right now Clinton, Obama, Gravel on democratic and McCain and Paul on republican side are running. For my post I'm just going to talk about Clinton, Obama, and McCain because they are the most likely to win the election or that's how it looks right now considering Ron Paul has 21 total delegates and Mike Gravel has 0. Right now within the democrats Obama is slightly in the lead but it's very very close.
These are their main focuses:
Clinton
Health Care
Iraq War
Economy and Budget
I don't know too much about her stand on these but I think we shouldn't give up on the war just yet. We can't just back out know. Quiting could make terrorism a problem again. We would one again look like lazy Americans taking the easiest way out of it. And secondly, health care. I think it's nice she wants more people to be able to afford health care, but I don't see where it becomes too expensive if people work hard in school, go to college, and work hard they should be able to find a good enough job to support their families. Any one can slack off in school, not go to a very good college and not find a very good job so it's not fair for the rest of America (the hard workers) to not get let off easy with cheaper health care. If I totally missed the point here or anywhere feel free to criticize or correct me. I would like to know better. As far as economy and budget go I'm not so sure what her stand on this is but my answer is most likely similar to what I wrote above.
Obama
Health Care
Iraq War
Economy and Budget
Read what I wrote about Clinton.
McCain
Iraq War
Economy and Budget
Immigration
From what I know McCain wants to do with the war I agree with him. I also think it's great that one of his focuses are on immigration. It isn't far for the people that come American citizens legaly that other people are sneaking into the U.S. Something should be done and I think he has a plan.
